Attend either identical session during our onboarding weeks to meet the board and learn more about ComputeX. In-person + Zoom livestream options will be available for anyone interested!
Our workshops are held on Monday evenings from 7:30 to 8:30 PM. We cycle through workshops focused on each of our five pillars, with occasional ones that span multiple domains. Depending on what fits the topic, each workshop takes on either an applied or exploratory approach. Click through below to see examples of each approach!
These workshops are more focused on exploring the topic and getting familiar with it, and can range from presentations to discussions to open debates depending on the subject!
Analyzing the environmental cost, power constraints, and resource allocation trade-offs behind global AI compute hubs.
Exploring how raw signal scans are processed into diagnostic images using computer vision and reconstruction algorithms.
Deconstructing consumer data loops, collaborative filtering, and how feed optimization drives user engagement.
Explore other ways to learn, connect, and get involved — from weekly resources and casual socials to conversations with professionals and trips beyond campus!
A weekly roundup of interesting ideas, discoveries, technologies, and resources across all five ComputeX pillars. Each issue explores what's new across different fields so you don't have to follow them all yourself!
Whether you've never written a line of code in your life or you build apps in your sleep, ComputeX is where tech meets every major at Michigan. Come explore, build, and socialize!
